★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had to hurry after work to get there and arrived at 3 minutes to 5 to find doors locked. Even though other customers inside and I pointed out on clock it was NOT 5pm they would not open. If open till 5 then doors should be open - closing early will get you justified bad reviews. Really disappointed in lack of service

We got the mortgage through here and Logan Wood completely butchered the application and nothing had been done and left hardly any notes on it. We found out only a few days before the first payment was due and that Logan left bnz.
Wendy however took over and did and amazing job helping us, even replying to emails when she was on leave (we were getting ready to visit the bank when we got the automatic 'im on leave' reply). Wendy's help changed what would have been a 1 star review + a lost customer to a 5 star review and a customer saved.

One of the staff, Venuka is rude. I was renewing a term deposit, was checking my app to see if I wanted to increase the amount but she kept hurrying me and in a rude way I was going to leave and take it to ASB as one of their staff is much nicer and even remembers me. Will consider doing so next time if the rates are anywhere near similar at other banks.

Super quiet morning I went in the queue to deposit money, was told to self service using the machine. Had a staff demonstrated how to use the kiosk, the computer then crashed and held my card and money within. I was offered to have the money put on a credit card to remedy the problem, but wasn't feasible because I don't have a bnz credit card (not keen to apply for one in the future now). Can only wait for their call when they have sorted out the crashing computer for now. Not a good experience, though I understand I might just be unlucky. Disappointed at their rather unfriendly customer service, like everyone should've learned about their self service machine (in such digital era, haven't walked into banks for years). After the machine has crushed, there was no apologies from the staff at all. All I got was 'that's not normal but don't worry we will help you fix it', yes they made it my problem too. Do not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to BNZ Riccarton this am, expecting the run around and the usual form filling, you don't have this so come back or try online etc. BUT NO, a very efficient and polite young lady dealt with my issue swiftly and professionally and with right amount of deverence to my age, although with a hat and mask on, I think was guessing? LOL. So a big 11 out of 10 from me. Chris
