β β β β β I recently took an old Seiko 5 to be serviced and to have the crystal polished. It took just over a week to be completed. To find that the geometry of the body had been drastically altered. The body was not protected during the polishing process which resulted in a bevel in the original curve. The back of the watch was opened, with what looked like a screwdriver, from the look of that scratch that was left. Took it back to have these errors justified and am still very unhappy with the results. I now have a polished, uneven bevel on the face of the body and an uneven back cap due to the over polishing required to remove their damage and new clamp indents on the side of the body. Not the treatment I expected at all. Will not be taking any more watches and would not recommend to anybody.

β β β β β What a cool wee treasure! Situated inside one of Nelsons historic buildings this Jewellers offers a huge range of new and Estate jewellery, watches and clocks with an on site jeweller and a clock/watch repair service.
A+ friendly service with good knowledge!
Definitely a place to see in Nelson City!

β β β β β My son took his rather expensive watch here to have the glass put back on. It was crystal and we know this because itβs all part of the make of this particular watch. Not only did it take a week (pre COVID) when my son picked it up and got it home the crystal was now a cheap plastic! Very obvious.
When asked about it the person said, β the crystal was glass and could not be used again. BS of course.
If youβre dark skinned donβt go here cause theyβll treat you as if youβre stupidly uneducated. If you have a piece you value and want to keep original take it somewhere else. These guys will take advantage of you one way or another. The price to rip to my son off was incredible. Fortunately because of how many watches we had bought from Omega they replaced the watch and warranty and warned us against using this place again. We know others thanks to fb with similar stories. User BEWARE!!!
