β β β β β Over the last 2 to 3 weeks have wasted about 4hours trying to contact someone to sort out this year's tax. All that has happened is going around in circles, and being told that there is no one available.if I could have given you less star's I would have. I would like to speak to a human to get some peace of mind. As my bank balance would appreciate a top up.

β β β β β The new IRD website went from bad to terrible. It's now even more difficult to find things. There's no point redesigning a website if you're just going to move things around without adding functionality. You still cant even reply to messages. Just awful, a truly stressful experience.

β β β β β Worst government services to have been operator there online services is not easy friendly for the simple hearted also it confused to know what it's tax to use the questionnaire is a bit complicated to answer and it not worth working three jobs you end up paying the government back very corruption agent as oversea rich human Keep buying up land in new Zealand and ird can't keep up

β β β β β They say their phone wait times are between 4 & 5 mins. But its actually 40mins. How can a massive NZ government department system be so antiquated & be so wrong? Why do we Kiwi's put up with this?

β β β β β Hey guys. Don't you think you guys need a well-organized queueing system? I waited for almost half an hour to get a form for tax refund and another half an hour to get informed of what to do next. The old man was kind but he said that he would call me in a few minutes when he gave me a form. And then what? He seemed to totally forget me being waiting for his call. While he was receiving another new comer, I was waiting... I am pretty sure it is not only me that don't know what to do when they enter the building.

β β β β β I was expecting that the waiting time for me to be able to talk to an IRD employee/representative would take forever, based on the negative reviews, but turns out it didnβt. When I first entered the room, for an appointment (walk-ins are allowed), I was greeted with a polite smile and greeting by both the guards and the woman who would be talking to me. It was such a good experience because they are aware of the flaws of the website but she did everything she can to help me sort out my refund, since I was the one who made a mistake. I think itβs absolutely unfair to blame the employees for doing THEIR job, if you think IRD system could be better, make a petition to the government, donβt lash out your anger on employees who are ONLY doing THEIR jobs!!! Anyways, shoutout to Ms. Pearl, for being such a great person, with very good communication skills, and has the patience to talk me through what I should do and to contact her if there are any more problems. I got my refund back, so I can say with confidence that she helped me a lot. Thanks!
