Fishing Clubs

If you ever what to see a great line up of Nissan vehicles doing what they do best then go to any boat ramp.

Nissan Navara’s, Patrols, Pathfinders and X-Trails are extremely popular with fishing and boating people for towing, launching, retrieving and getting the catch home.

That one of the many reasons JWG support all three of our local fishing clubs.

Raglan Sport Fishing Club, Kawhia Boating & Angling Club and the Waikato Sport Fishing Club.

All these clubs do a fantastic job in helping Kiwi’s enjoy there recreational boating and fishing adventures while supporting the sustainable fisheries around our coastlines.

Raglan Community

Our Managing Director Jim Wright has a very special connection with Raglan and the surrounding district being a third generation born and bred local.

As a business we have also enjoyed a great deal of support from Raglan people so are happy to be able to give back.

Tamahere Reserve

The first time we discovered the Tamahere Reserve it was a waste land area over grown with noxious weeds and a dumping ground for household rubbish big and small.

Then a group of highly motivated volunteers took on the task of cleaning up this mess by clearing rubbish and vegetation and replacing them with a range of native trees and plants converting the reserve into what it is today.

Open every day and free to all, well-constructed walkways take you on a scenic and educational tour through forest and wetlands.

JWG are proud to support this ongoing transformation with annual donations.

Motor racing

Because we are so passionate about motor vehicles we are also great supporters of motor racing.

Therefore we have aligned ourselves with two high performing race teams whom have both achieved fantastic results with Nissan vehicles.

We have had a long standing sponsorship relationship with the Ross Family and the Concept Motor Sport team who compete in the NZ V8 series in their Nissan Altima 5.6 litre V8 with regular podium finishes. The vehicle is immaculately prepared and in the capable hands of driver Nick Ross is always exciting to watch.

In 2021 we secured a deal with Lance Hughes of Hamilton Asphalts to support his newly acquired Nissan GTR. Lance is no stranger to NZ racing circuits previously winning major placing in the NZ V8 Series but now with the new GTR competes in the NZ Endurance 3 hour race series. This Nissan is a real rocket and in its first outing showed the much more expensive competing McLaren, Porsche and Audi how it’s done.

We are thrilled to be associated with these two committed and dedicated teams.

Resthaven Cambridge

After learning that not for profit Resthaven elderly care facility in Cambridge need a coach to provide outings and essential transport for their residents.

As our own business has been well supported by both Cambridge people and businesses we were proud to get together with other like-minded businesses and provide Resthaven with a 12 seater Renault Coach.

Suburbs Community Sports Club

We are proud to be involved with suburbs community sports club, one of the fastest growing clubs in Hamilton providing the North Hamilton community with a wide range of sporting activities currently netball, touch rugby, junior and senior rugby and lacrosse. We have been a major sponsor of Junior rugby and worked closely with the club since 2014.
