JJ Management Ltd - Auckland CBD

I was sitting at my desk in Sydney working for Bacardi Global Travel Retail when I started to look for an Agency to manage my Activations across Australia & New Zealand. Once I started partnering with an Agency I had my first thought of “I could do this better”. Skip a few years later, I started to question the service I was receiving as a Brand, and more thoughts kept flooding in  “ This service isn’t personalized” or “They don’t understand what I need as a brand”. At this point I didn’t go into too much depth on wanting to start my Agency but knew I needed a ‘change’. So I made one of the biggest decisions of my life and left that Amazing Company and moved back to New Zealand for a Holiday..

I was applying for roles with various brands but nothing seemed to ignite my passion. I contemplated starting my own Agency and one day I went for a drive around the Eastern Bays in Auckland and kept seeing number plates with the letters “JJ” (If I was going to start an Agency it was going to be called JJ). Seeing this was almost a sign, so I said out loud “Show me 10 more number plates with the letters JJ and I’ll start an Agency”. Funny story I ended up seeing 15 more number plates with the letters ‘JJ’ so I made what was one of the best decisions of my life.

The next day I woke up having a newfound passion and drive, I started writing my business plan and executing my comeback into the industry. Once I had my plan in place, I still needed to get my first client and also needed money to tie me over. So my days became cleaning superyachts and my nights were focusing on getting business. Then one day whilst cleaning I got the call I wanted (Insert small happy dance). I got my first Job and have never looked back…
