★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questionable integrity and work ethic vs time to review processes? We arrived just under two hours before closing, seeking a haircut for one 7yo boy, only to be told that they couldn't cut his hair today, as the last booking for the day had just been filled. There was only one client receiving a haircut at the time, with 3x staff and no-one in the store waiting. When we walked past 45-60 minutes later, once again there was person receiving a haircut, with the two other staff members looking very relaxed sitting back on chairs. I wish I had thought to take a photo, so as to capture the expression on the face of the person who said they were fully booked. OR, if they were indeed fully booked and clients just weren't turning up, then perhaps if there was a system in place in which we could have been given the opportunity to fill the gap, then my boy would have been able to get a haircut and the owner could be earning money, instead of spending money on staff to sit around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a customer of Just cuts for several years and normally I am very satisfied with the services provided however, on my last visit on Friday I was less than satisfied with the end result. My cut was so bad that another stylist had to do some repairs to the job done and she spent more time fixing my hair than the stylist who originally cut it did. I like the atmosphere and service I normally get from the Palmy store, however I will not let this stylist do my cuts ever again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What I've found is that I can get the same haircut here for one third the price I usually pay in a hair dressing salon!! Don't have my favorite hairdresser anymore as she has changed her job, but there is still other hairdressers that are reasonably good. Recommend Just Cut Papmerston North

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thought id risk trying this place again after a bad experience. I made a huge mistake. The hairdresser spent more time talking and trying to make conversation than actually cutting my hair. I should have said no after seeing how dirty and hair caked her tools were! 10 minutes later she was done, but my hair was soaked and combed so I couldnt spot the mess she had made. After i got outside and my hair dried It looks shocking, so much so that im going to have to shave it off and start again. Id like a full refund, but dont have time to go back and get one. 0/10, not worth $35, or even $10 at that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to get a 2cm trim ended up with my hair being butchered. Literally I have a style (if you want to call it that) where is it long at the front - like spaniel's ears - then short at the back. I DIDN'T ASK FOR THAT. The stylist just started hacking at my hair at the back before I had a chance to say stop its too short. I kept saying it was too short but she said its long at the front... IT ISN'T. I am so devastated. a. I had my long hair cut short and b. I have a haircut I didn't ask for. I certainly didn't want an asymmetrical bob - so last year. I asked for a trim - straight around. The stylist didn't listen to me at all. She was too busy doing her own thing (hacking at my hair) and inane chitter chatter about whether or not I had children and asked what did they do for a living. Come on a. that is a privacy issue and imagine how it would feel if I couldn't have children. Totally a lack of professionalism.
The haircut was bad but it isn't the last issue. I said I liked my hair scrunched - she blow waved it straight. It looked like I was wearing a helmet. THEN as she had finished she went to the till and before I had a chance to say no, some sea salt spray was in a bag and being handed to me. I was so shocked I stupidly paid for it and left.
I hate speaking ill of people, but she has destroyed my hair - I have a haircut that isn't me. I have lost at least two years of growth, I have a bottle of hair product that makes my hair feel dirty and I have an old fashioned haircut.
