★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my fav places to stop and quickly soak in the view. If you're in a hurry you can head up, take pics and head back to your car within 5 mins return.. Or take a bit more time/wait for others to finish with their pics and it might take 10mins. Worth the stop.
Because of the view, it looks totlaly different depending on the amount of sun/cloud/light so I stop here when I can.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This track has one of the most beautiful view in New Zealand. The way up takes approximately one hour and 40 minutes back. We went there after rain and it was not a good idea.. the road was very slippery after rain and quite dangerous but the view worth for it! I would recommend to take good hiking shoes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very technical terrain. Much of the track is in a very rough state and there are many very steep sections. Great track for very keen trail runners and hikers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Has around 5-10 car spaces. There is a small walk up some steps to a lookout area from car park, then you can do the Kaipawa trig walk, it's a easy walk. The view at the trig isn't the greatest
