★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a treasure of a spot to camp at. Idyllic, well maintained and quiet (except for the pukeko and chooks!). It's a basic campground with composting toilet (no showers) and non potable water. Close to Huia store and beach. A variety of farm animals to entertain the kids and close to lots of walking tracks (though many still closed because of kauri die back). A great place to get away from it all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place we have camped... we absolutely love it here! A short stroll to the beautiful clean creek. A 2 minute drive to little Huia. Safe as houses for the kids. Fully fenced section to camp on. Cows, chickens, roosters and pigs for the kids to visit. Well maintained and looked after.
No showers, eco longdrop toilet. Just how camping should be. The very basics. We have camped here a couple of times and will be back at least once a year. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is absolutely gorgeous. One of the volunteers showed me around & talked to me about all of the tame animals & birds. He showed me the farm buildings & told me how the kids with special needs come for a farm experience. There are hens, ducks, turkeys, kune kune pigs, sheep & 3 cows, that are safe for children.
Also Barn Paddock adjacent to camp in.
Be careful where you walk though, it’s a farm. Bring good walking shoes or gumboots.
