Starting with the positives: most of the cafe overlooks South Karori Park, and there is a nice selection of slices and savoury food. If it’s slices or something light to eat while the kids play on the park or you look out over the park, then you’ll be happy.
Unfortunately I was served the most insipid coffee I’ve tasted in Wellington. First coffee was tepid & tasted yecch; the second was Ok temperature but still insipid and yucky. I’m not sure if the unpalatable taste was due to lack of barista skill or choice of beans, or a combination of both. So if it a appetising and aromatic coffee you’re after, then I would go elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic, family friendly café, right on the side of the park. Plenty of seating indoors, with 5 benches outside. Great for a sit down in the sunshine.
The staff are always helpful and friendly, even when it's packed. Coffee is perfect every time too.
Food is tasty and fresh, with a pretty good vegetarian selection.
