★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Five stars for Nurse Kate, I went into the MC yesterday and saw Kate. As a retiree Kate treated me with respect and kindness...
It's a shame I can't say the same for the recptionist who was rude, arrogant and didnt' think I should be there to see a dr for my inhaler. She wanted to know if it was an emergency - well yes it was, I can't breathe without it!! People like this should not be working at a medical centre...a litlle bit of kindness would go a long way..no stars for her.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ **I wouldn’t recommend this medical centre to anybody, worst customer service at counter all the time, their receptionists needs to involve in some sort of training which will teach them how to talk to the patients, you dont have to RUDE all the time, lol you are working in a hospital not in a bar or restaurant where yu treat patients in such a arrogant way.!!!
PS- I saw many reviews of people complaining about the receptionists behaviour is so rude and arrogant, so if the management is reading these reviews, do something please. No one wants to come to hospital for fun, a person only comes when they have any health issues and we dont want us to treated in a bad way.
Thanks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in with horrible food poisoning, left feeling 10 times better. Was treated amazingly by the nurse, Cushla, who you could tell was an extremely genuine person. The receptionist and the doctor were lovely and caring too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointed to see one of your doctors making public judgemental comments about those unable to wear masks.
Not everyone who can’t wear a mask is more vulnerable to covid - those with sensory processing disorder, autism, PTSD (who may have been in incidents where they couldn’t breathe), panic disorder… Those with mental health conditions still need to get groceries and pick up medication, and not all are privileged enough to have family to help or can get a grocery delivery slot when needed. It is difficult enough worrying about whether they’ll face judgement or abuse when they go out, without seeing a doctor making judgements online.
Certainly shows a lack of empathy and understanding of mental health.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Parents lived in Katikati for a couple of years and have both unfortunately recently passed away. The medical centre staff are very genuine and caring. I have read some of the reviews on here and some people have obviously had some very challenging experiences. The centre actually gets very busy (I have seen days where its like Grand Central Station) and sometimes the reception staff will push back a little because they need to ensure order amongst the chaos. I found that once they got to know us (my brother and I were around a lot as Mum and Dad became more unwell) it was easier to interact and find our way. Katikati is growing at a rapid pace, this practice is a one stop shop and the only medical provider in town and with lots of part and full time Drs and nurses you cannot always get to see who you want. I think the key is to be patient and keep trying if things aren't working. Courtney and Suzanne and the Reception Team will look after you, Kelly, Heather, Kate and the wonderful team of nurses and Drs Andersen, Klopper, Jones, Boon and their team all work tirelessly to provide good care. I am so glad they were there for Mum and Dad. Thanks to all of them. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed at the rushed 15 minute appointment my family member received. With suicidal tenancies, he finally made an attempt to reach out and get help and was brushed off, told to go elsewhere.
Disgusting treatment. Absolutely appalled by the doctor who seen him. I will be taking this further.
