★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hut getting a bit worn (leaky/noisy), but still very usable. Mattresses (4) still intact, watertank good\full, small range of tools/equip inside. Vegetation around hut needs cutting back. Long drop toilet in good condition.
The track up to the hut has some very difficult sections - ONLY FOR EXPERIENCED OUTDOORS PEOPLE (as per new warning sign - May 22). Some sections (now mainly at S-E/hut end of trk...) are heavily overgrown with ferns/grasses, and other sections your climbing up rocky outcrops and tree roots to follow the track, etc.
