★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hike up is definitely worth the effort. Takes some time though and don't recommend doing it very close to sunset (as we did, for a day trip up).
The hut is a nice place to listen to neighbouring avalanches.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1000m height gain and some rock scrambling on the way up, but well worth the hike. If you’re lucky to have a good weather day in summer then the trip up and back is fairly straightforward and can be done in half a day (return). There is usually a volunteer hut warden in residence here.
