β β β β β My congratulations to the awesome staff at Kenepuru hospital, I'm a visitor to porirua contacted my medical centre in Auckland and they suggested I go to the closest A&E. I suffer from asthma , having huge problems with breathing. Reported to receptionist and was told there would be a long wait, I thought I'm in a safe place if anything happens I was amongst medical people that could help me. My wait was a wee while then I was called, I was taken to a room and the nure said there maybe a wee wait for a doctor to see me because they were busy, I didn't wait very long and had this awesome doctor attend to my medical problem. I can't remember his name, he treated me with kindness, sympathy and listened. I was so thankful because by this time I could hardly speak.
Anyhow in no time I walked out of that room a different person ? back to my ole self.
So people be patient and kind to our medical people

What amazing and caring nurses and staff, especially Lynda the theatre nurse and Alan the anaesthetist, they really took the time to explain and make me comfortable and made me laugh even when it was my first procedure and anaesthetic and I was feeling really nervous and scared. What beautiful humans! Gives me faith again in the human race! Thankyou for doing such a great job and treating me with such care and dignity!

β β β β β I have recently received surgery at Kenepuru Hospital. From the minute I arrived at the door until I was discharged I experienced nothing but professionalism and kindness from everyone, regardless of their position.

β β β β β A huge thank-you to Hine, who helped my partner and me to get to an outpatient building while my partner could barely walk. You saved us a great deal of stress and pain, Hine!
More posted directions to all outpatient buildings would be hugely useful. It's very hard to find your way around if you don't know what you're looking for, and when you're in a high-stress situation, it makes it all the harder.

β β β β β Very proactive safety protocols at the main entrance. All the nursing staff are super considerate, highly professional and efficient. The hospital was clean and it was easy to navigate to the different areas. I felt relaxed, in safe hands, well looked after and received excellent service.
