They are not sweet talking salespeople out to make a quick buck but show genuine interest in the investor as an individual no matter how small or large one's investment is. Their fees make Smart shares and other index providers in NZ look like gougers.

β β β β β I have been with Kernel for about 6 months. During that time I have noticed that it is less responsive than other investment platforms I have used, it takes them longer to adapt to rises in the market, the fees structure is not transparent, and the CEO stalked me by emailing me to ask me why I was withdrawing a large amount! But the worst thing is that when I put in a sell order, it took Kernel EIGHT days to process it. Now I get to wait another two for the withdrawal to make it to my bank account. Easily the slowest service of any platform. Even Kiwisaver is quicker!
