★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 80 year old Dad, ill and bed bound has a large smashed living room window. Its the middle of winter and 1°c.
I phoned KING COUNTRY GLASS on monday to get a quote/repair because as far as I know this is the only glass business in Taumarunui.
KEVIN says he will call me back with quote. That was 5 days ago.
I phone again on friday, his explantation is "oh i dont know what happened there" No apology not even a "sorry bout that mate"
King country Kevin turns up friday morning, walks straight through the house with his boots on, measures the broken window, says thats gona be real hard to fix and that he will have to get back to me (AGAIN). then drives off and doesnt call back for a second time.
I get told by dads caregiver to call TURANGI GLASS so i give them a call. TURANGI GLASS give me an over the phone quote, they apologise they cant repair dads window over the weekend but promise to have it replaced first thing monday morning. Total time on phone to TURANGI GLASS is 3 minutes 49 seconds. price to replace 1.2m square toughened glass $310+gst
the best part of this drama is the post on KING COUNTRY GLASS fb page telling everyone to support local business by spending an extra $100/year
Worst service ever! ???
A bad experience and WILL NOT recommend this business to anyone i know. Not good enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had these wonderful people do a window replacement on two driveway windows from 1930s into new aluminium double glazed ones. The two guys that came round were absolutely awesome so nice and really went out of their way . They even undercoated our bottom frame to make it look great. It was a very hot day awesome king country glass Taumarunui. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.
