★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1/2 dozen oysters and 1/2 scoop of chips. 1/2 scoop was more like 24 chips. I would hardly call that a 1/2 scoop. Lucky if 1/4 scoop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered a grilled Salmon fillet and blue cod fillet, with different seasoning, but maybe my accent was too horrible that the girls didn't understand me , the fish served without any taste at all.
Then I asked the girl who cooked the fish to help adding some flavor on it but she told me the girl who helped me ordered was out for lunch and tried to find the receipt to prove that I didn't order any flavors.I did order and confirm with the girl twice when I ordered. Eventually they put some seasoning on the fish and said that's the only thing they can do, but should've put the seasoning while cooking.
So the fish taste as no taste as you can imagine, the service was so disappointing, and they don't even offer fork to eat the grill fish,30cents per set.?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went expecting the best but felt very disappointed. We went for a quick take away. No fresh cod, only pre frozen. No Bluff oysters (not even frozen) The whitebait fritters were weird thick pre cooked, pre frozen then deep fried (not on, should be pan fried with butter) and they were quite dry. No lemons. No vinegar. No bread for the whitebait. Had to ask for salt and pepper even though they had eat-in tables. And kinda unfriendly staff. Won't be going back there again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got fish n chip meal with egg. Very delicious and fish was moist. The only thing that wasn't to my preference was the batter... was a little on the thicker side but then again others may like it that way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local Bluff Oysters beautifully battered awesome favour. Chips nicely done crisp outside. Fluffy inside nice and clean oil. Staff friendly and helpful. Definitely the place to go for all your seafood needs. Kings have generations behind them when it comes to fresh produce from our Southland coastlines.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The battered blue cod and chips were not bad, but I wouldn’t waste money on the whitebait fritter sandwich which was served in a hamburger bun and the fritter batter was too thick, over cooked, whitebait was dry…very disappointed and expensive ?
