Our story
KIPS Equestrian was born from a childhood dream.
Rewind to 36 years ago when Kellie met the pony that she would learn to ride on - KIPLING. It was here a life-long passion for all things equestrian began. Fast forward through many years of Pony Club, Gymkhanas and certification and when Kellie’s daughters took up horse riding she was finally able to realise her dream of passing on her knowledge to not only her girls, but others who want to build solid fundamental riding skills, thus becoming safe and confident riders.
While competition level riding was fun back in the day, it was the work involved in building an unwavering relationship with her horses, focusing on what they needed to be happy and willing to work well with their rider, this was the motivation behind KIPS Equestrian’s philosophy. “Creating safe & confident riders who stay tuned to the needs of their horse.”
Kellie has 8 horses which are as much a part of her family as her husband and children. Each of her horses has a unique story and it is these stories that Kellie draws on when teaching her students about the relationships we must build with our horses.
