★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never had a bad meal from here. Definitely the place to go in Avondale for a good takeaways roast meal!
They offer a wide range of meats and love that even the small portion is quite generous. Serving pork (with crackling), chicken and pork. On occassion if you are lucky there is also beef on offer.
The service here is great too. Friendly staff and fast service with a smile.
Plenty of parking right out front and the option to eat in if you don't wish to take away your meal.
Will always be my number one for a great meal in Avondale!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Flavourful Pork roast meal. I usually go for medium or large size. As with medium and large size one gets pork crispy skin and that's crispy, salty and flavorful. Medium takeaway meal comes with baby potatoe crisp in Half's (4-6s), Kumara, Pumpkin, green peas, pork meat from roast and crispy pork skin roast and I ask them to top it up with complimentary apple sauce. Love the meal. Medium meal for me is difficult to finish in one sitting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointing visit tonight. I have been a loyal customer for many years and have referred family and friends, even out-of-towners here for roasts. First time I ordered the fish burger X2 order. I usually go to Green Jade for their delicious and cheaper fish burgers but I said to my family, let's go support Kiwi roast tonight as we hadn't been there for awhile so disappointing that the outcome was what it was. Instead of going back to the store because I didn't want to return food if there were other patrons there, I chose to call. My complaint was the fish pattie (didn't look like a fillet) was not fresh, it had a brownish tint and tasted awful, and the lettuce was brown and wilted, we live less than 5mins away so it can't have cooked the lettuce that badly. No apology so I said I wouldn't be going there again, and all I got was "oh well if that's how you feel". These guys are usually very lovely and roasts are great but I'll only be returning to that block for the other stores. Needless to say, dinner is now a cup of tea and the hot chips
