OMG!MOST PATHETIC EXP EVER! We took our dogs for grooming & this ASIAN groomer LUCY is the worst person we have ever come across in New Zealand! She mishandles dogs like they are an 'object'. Firstly,The minute we entered the place, there wasnt any greetings etc. She seemed very non welcoming and had an angry face. We thought it must be the way she is. But anyways, we handed our dog to her as we had a booking. To our surprise, LUCY grabbed our dog from our hand and literally ''THREW'' our dog in the kennel! It was unbelievable as to what we saw and we were shocked to see that! We confronted LUCY saying that is not the way to handle animals. She had no care attitude!We told her 'Next time not to THROW dogs like that''!! And she said ''I DONT CARE''! Goodness! It is hard to explain! Next min we went to check how long would it take for our grooming, by then LUCY went inside and she didnt realise we were standing there. She was shouting at the top of her voice and threw things at other dogs that came for grooming! She was pointing her finger to poor dogs and god! We have never seen any such behaviour from a groomer Like LUCY! We decided to go back and take our dog with us as we felt really scared and sad as to what LUCY might do to our dogs and other dogs over there. The minute we went to the reception, there came another supporter SOPHIE LEE who turned out to be so unprofessional as well. We told them to 'take an advice..NEVER THROW ANY DOG LIKE THAT'' & we are very upset! Their behaviour has been so disgusting and they started recording us and making our video!The minute we started to note their grooming salon details and LUCY & SOPHIE LEE'S photo, they were so GUILTY and started hiding their faces!They were not at all SORRY nor they were apologetic to the animals. Instead, they started laughing and behaving so unprofessional that we were just surprised as this is THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE EVER COME ACROSS A GROOMER LIKE THEM!!! It seems these people are only interested in getting lots of dogs for grooming & for the greed of money. They have NO EXPERIENCE IN HANDLING DOGS AND THEY ARE SO IN HUMANE. We have been to many groomers yet never found anyone like LUCY & SOPHIE LEE& the team, There was another ASIAN male who actually said ''if any dog bites us, we will straight away EUTHANIZE and we dont care about the owners"! we were shocked to hear what and how he said. Any genuine PET LOVER would just be so scared to take their pet here. It is utterley shameful what animal cruelty is actually happening in our own AUCKLAND ,In KOHI DOG GROOMING SALON! Since then, our dog is being extremely upset and is limping as she threw him. Considering MALTESE are small breed and their legs are very weak, still they get treated like this. WE ARE DEFINATELY NEVER EVER GOING TO KOHI DOG GROOMING, 2 BADDELEY AVENUE, AUCKLAND!!! The photos and videos they put on their website is just for the attraction of public just so people like LUCY,SOPHIE& the team get money . It is very much clear that they are total animal haters!! Their behaviour said it all!!! They have been so unprofessional and were making fun of us and LUCY pointed her finger out while we were driving out! THIS BEHAVIOUR IS NOT TO BE TOLERATED AND THE ANIMAL MANAGEMENT OF AUCKLAND SHOULD STRICTLY TAKE NOTE OF WHATS HAPPENING. We are very concerned about other dogs as their owners dont really know whats happening inside ! These owners leave their dogs, trusting LUCY & SOPHIE but DONT know EXACTLY what they are doing to the poor innocent dogs. After this review, LUCY & SOPHIE & the team might try to defend themselves or try to impress people & prove us wrong! BUT THIS IS THE FACT! We are very worried about other dogs that will be groomed by LUCY , SOPHIE & team at KOHI DOG GROOMING! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS KOHI DOG GROOMING AT 2 BADDELEY AVE, AUCKLAND TO ANYONE!!! Hope this review would help lots of pet owners to think twice before going to KOHI DOG GROOMING! MAJOR ANIMAL ILLTREATMENT IS HAPPENING HERE! PLEASE BE AWARE!! DONT GO FOR GROOMING AT KOHI DOG GROOMERS! IT IS REAL SCARY!

My small dog was so furry and scruffy and Lucy did a great job of turning her into a beautiful little lady again.

I have just taken my Scottish Terrier 'Duncan' to Lucy for the first time. I went on the recommendation of his longterm groomer who is no longer able to groom dogs. It was with some trepidation, as Scotties are not very common & not many people know how to groom them correctly. To say I am absolutely delighted with the result would be an understatement!???'Dunc' came out happily & looking so smart!! Hopefully Lucy will be his 'forever groomer'! I am recommending her to all Scottie owners, who, like myself have a problem finding a really great Scottie groomer!!??Thank you Lucy-we greatly appreciate you turning 'Duncan' from a woolly black sheep to a fabulous, smart proper Scottie!!???

My dog has been going to Pethouse for some months now. The service is always friendly, helpful, accomodating and above all, my dog loves it! I have been really pleased with both the daycare and her grooms. They listen to what I would like with her groom and she always comes away looking great. I have recommended Pethouse to friends.

Ignore previous good feedback on Kohi Dogs Grooming Salon as the ownership has changed, resulting in an appalling service. All we wanted was for our border collie's 50mm coat to be groomed to take out a few knots and matting. What we got was an abomination. This wretched animal appeared with a rough buzz cut to his body, with patches right down to the skin (see the before and after photos). His head and tail were left untouched and there were still some obvious knots left. My astonished wife was told this was an appropriate 'summer' trim for the breed and was charged $100. She was so taken by surprise she paid for this mutilation. We subsequently confirmed that all available literature on border collies states they should not be trimmed, so this botched grooming reflects poorly on Kohi Dogs Grooming Salon's knowledge and ability. People like this should not be rewarded with customers. We strongly urge everyone to stay away from these people in order to avoid the bad experience we had.

I have taken my dog to Kohi Dogs twice now since they changed ownership. They have always been totally professional and both times they did an excellent groom for my Griffin cross - it was exactly as I had requested. I used to take her to Lucy's in Morrin Rd but I much prefer the groom done here as they listen to what you want, my dog comes out looking great and importantly, it is a calm atmosphere for the dogs. The lady at reception is super friendly, helpful and caring of the dogs. I also went in today to buy some accessories and she was very helpful and I noticed they also have a doggy daycare now! Highly recommend.

We took our Lulu the Cavoodle to Kohi Dogs yesterday for a groom. I always enjoy walking her around to Kohi. I was disappointed to hear the lovely Lucy had left but the new owner was just as lovely and super friendly. She took time to ask how I’d like her groomed and inquired about teeth and nails. She gave Lulu the best hair cut she’s ever had! I know Lulu was awfully untidy before (lock-down dreads!) but she’s come out looking not only beautifully fluffy, clean and soft, but also with a designer hair do! Her eyes and face especially look so great. I haven’t seen her looking this good since she was a little puppy. Thank you Kohi Dogs

First time we used this service but well worth it. We brought two dogs in, one quite skittish, and they did a fantastic job with both in just over 2 hours. Well priced too.
