β β β β β Great little place to stop for a night (or more). We stopped for a night on our way back south down the west coast. Lovely views over the water, quiet location and lovely clean kitchen and showers/ toilets.

β β β β β The best camp we found during our travels in Northland. Beautiful and cosy place, friendly owner, well equipped kitchen, clean showers. Next time we are around we sure know where we are staying.

β β β β β Stopped here on the way to the Rawene car ferry. It was delightful. The kitchen is beautifully clean and well equipped, the grounds/gardens very pretty and Leslie and Chicken Tikka (her cat) are charming. Thoroughly recommend this if you have a night to spare pre and post ferry. This and the equally historic town of Rawene have all you need.

β β β β β What an awesome location with beautiful views over the water, made even nicer with the lovely facilities on site. BY FAR THE BEST CAMPSITE IVE STAYED AT IN THE NORTH ISLAND. to top all of this off the owner is the nicest lady Iβve ever met she bends over backwards making sure you enjoy your stay, gave us some awesome location advice with places to stay and see on our road trip. Oh make sure you say hey to chicken tikka the cat (yes you read that right) we will sure be popping back in for another stay when Iβm next in the area

β β β β β Best campground since Wellington! Clean, beautiful outlook, lovely
Host and well appointed for large and small RVs or vans. $20 per person is well worth it. No dump station but thereβs a public one in Opononi so no drama. Traveling north or south this is a stop you wanna make to be sure youβre not rushing through the Hokianga. A five star kiwi camp spot for sure.
