★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely love this place. You feel very welcome by the hosts and the cabins (or rather the tree house!) is just amazing. It is a big dream of mine to return here and spend the daytime in the forest or on the porch and the evenings under the skylight in the common room.
It is a very recommendable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful stay with beautiful surroundings, comfortable rooms and most welcoming, helpful and warm hosts.
I recommend to everyone who travels through Northland, its a must stay place if you wanna take a break for a while and just listen to the forrrest.
We would definitely come back if we can :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OMG, this place is a hidden wee gem. We had the lodge to ourselves. It is basic bunk beds, but everything is supplied. It is quirky and fun. Tranquil, peaceful and serene. No good for someone in a chair or for someone who struggles up and down stairs. As loos are downstairs from the living room, kitchen and beds. Well stocked kitchen with pots and utensils, plates etc. The hosts are more than friendly and accommodating. Really handy to the car ferry to take you to Rawene. Highly recommend this place. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in February at the last minute after another accomodation booking fell through. Can't recommend enough. The hosts were so kind and accomodating. They made us feel very welcome and even showed Jack our one year old a stick insect. Lots of steps and balconies but was fine even with a toddler, we just had to keep a close eye on them. Very clean and tidy. Great budget option.

Fantastic change from the beaches and baking heat, getting lost under some tree cover surrounded by nature.
Great amenities as well.
Absolute steal for the price.

For a budget experience, this is heavenly.
I keep dreaming about making the time to go back and experience Hokianga even further whilst staying here.
