★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in Sept 2020. Price is $16 in cash, vs $12 written outside on the board, but still very cheap. Camp site is a square piece of lawn, first come first served. Lawn got a bit pool-like after rain. One toilet / shower each for male and females, outside kitchen bench, nearby playground and beach. Dogs allowed which was great for us. Little to no cellphone reception.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Far exceeded our expectations, nicely kept grass pitches, cooking shelter with hot water and washing machine. Powered and unpowered sites, children's play area, public barbecue and access to the beach.
Popular with camper vans.

Rather saddened by the poisoning of Pohutukawa trees along the beach front. Poisoned for the view I guess. But must say it was lovely company meeting Holden and Kev (local dog &truck)
