Nice quiet little park, great in summer, great in winter when dry but take a jacket as the wind is very cold there and there is no shelter from it.

One of the best park to relax and let the kids play! During weekends we usually bring our kids there. About 1.5 km away, there is the Waterview Reserve with recreation facilities and the kids are free to play with water in the shall ponds. Also known as Saxon Reserve. Local green open space.. Dog exercise: We do not currently have dog exercise area information for this park Kuaka Reserve: β€œKuaka is the Maori name for the Godwit, a wading bird that migrates to Waterview from Alaska every year. This bird was a valuable food source for Maori and can still be seen over our summer months feeding in the nearby intertidal zones.” Kuaka Park playground has emerged from the former Saxon Reserve in the course of the upheavals of the Waterview Connection of State Highway 20. Climbing structures assembled from dodecahedral shapes. Kuaka is the Maori name for the godwit (limosa lapponica), a migratory bird which visits New Zealand during our summer and then returns to Alaska to breed in their summer. (It is unlikely that a godwit has ever been seen in the closer vicinity of the park). @davidlim, @davidlimnz You can get to Kuaka Park by Bus, Train or Ferry. These are the lines and routes that have stops nearby - Train: Train - WEST; Bus: Bus - 18.
