If you're staying here you're probably from kiwi experience and dont have much of a choice but here's what to expect anyways Staff: very friendly and approachable! Room: pretty big and clean Kitchen: no kitchen. Dinner and bfast are provided as part of the charge. Dinner was kinda like typical hall food (not the good day ones) but was decent. Bfast was pretty sick in comparison with a decent spread of bread, bacon, cereal and drinks Location: kinda in the middle of nowhere but very close to the beach and lake both of which are well worth the short walk from the lodging! Overall: quite a decent nights stay although I will admit is more of a 4 or 5 if you're into partying and drinking. If you prefer to stick to yourself or skip on the party then it'll be more like an average hostel. I managed to get decent 3g on my phone at some places although you wont be streaming anything at that speed.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Really great fun ; the staff are great and really kind. Beds were really comfy, really nice warm duvets. Jade Stone carving in the back was well worth doing and very good value. I came as part of a bus so I can imagine it might be quite quiet otherwise. Generally amazing family hotel thgh with stunning surroundings down by the lake.

It was an OK place, generally you come here with the kiwi experience. The staff were welcoming and nice. The food in the evening for vegetarians could be improved by offering a tofu option or a meat replacement, as I feel a lettuce salad is not the equivalent financially or nutritionally. The party in the evening I felt obliged to go to even though a few people didn't go but it was ok. The place could do with more showers as the female que in the morning for the rest of the bus was quite crazy. Breakfast was really good, it was like a buffet with loads of options to eat so that was great. I didn't like the fact that I gave my food to be kept in the chiller and when I got it back I noticed a massive dent in my milk and my yogurt had split everywhere so I suppose it was just hurled into the chiller. Other than that it was an OK place to be when we had torrential rain.

Party place only. Pretty fun but not much to do in the area other than drink. They definitely cater to parties and bus tours full of young tourists.

Absolutely Amazing! We stopped there with our Kiwi Experience Bus and it was one of the best nights I ever had! Everybody is so friendly and it's just an awesome team! I'it did the Greenstone carving and that was an great experience, I think I'll never get the opportunity to do that again. The party in the evening was awesome! I just can't describe it. The room es we're really clean and the bathrooms too. Lots of stuff to play outside and the highlight: 2 hotpools! The Dinner and Breakfast was delicious and more than enough for everyone! I will definitely come back if I ever come around that area again! Thanks for that lovley time I had!

It’s a backpacker and well organised. Friendly staff, good facilities. If you cross the road going towards the lake, there is a path turning left right through the rainforest which takes about 30min to the lake and is absolutely amazing. They have a room full of clothes to dress up when there is a dress up party. The beach is also extremely beautiful and absolutely deserted! Bring repellent for sand flies.

The Kiwi Experience costume party was fun and the roast pork dinner was good!

A place with poor signal, they told us that “sorry there is no WiFi, we are in the middle of nowhere” but if you go to the toilet you could see a staff recruit sheet sticking on the saying “free WiFi after your shift”. Is this a kind of fraud? The dinner they offer is a little below average and the place is too small (I came with the kiwi experience group and there is like around 70 people in total). The breakfast is below average (we were offered pancakes and bacon) which I had no word to express. This cost $55 for staying a night in 4 or 6 person dorm and with dinner and breakfast, honestly not very worth the price. Anyways, if you’re a uni student and like to party, you might have a great time here I think....
