Corrosion Resistance – Mercury diesels feature state-of-the-art anti-corrosion, including a thermostatically controlled closed water-cooled system. Water cooled engine oil, gear oil and steering fluid decrease engine-room temperatures, extending engine life. The SeaCore system is available for the ultimate in saltwater protection.

Nobody seemed to know what was going on in the shop. Charged me a fortune and the boat didn’t go and told me I needed a $18,000 engine. Just had a friend put a new starter motor on it for $350 and it works perfect.
