Came here for lunch and had two poached eggs on some gluten free toast. Eggs were cooked perfectly and I wasn't charged any extra for the gluten free bread. At $10.50 I thought it was really good value. Great spot to have lunch if you want to spend the day at the museum.

Considering this is a museum, great facility and service. Good coffee and reasonably priced.

As a tourist visiting wellington this cafe had a nice atmosphere. The coffee was well made and the food I ordered was tasty and not very expensive. Staff were friendly and welcoming when I received my food. I would definitely recommend Te Papa Cafe to anybody new to the city looking for a nice place to grab a bite to eat while getting to explore the museum itself.

Wasn't really happy with the cabinet food we had (not very tasty). We ordered mac and cheese from the kids menu for our daughter but the oil had separated from the cheese and wasn't great. Prices were average for cafe standards but I imagine the cafe is so busy out of convenience and not because it is amazing.

A bit mediocre. Food relied heavily on salt for flavour. Pizza very mean on the passata snd as such let down. Service and coffee ok.

We had to ask for a menu as they were not freely available. There wasn’t a very great range of stuff to eat. We got French toast, large chips and soup. $18 for the French toast we thought was a bit overpriced, with the a total price of $40, which we paid at the counter before being served. The French toast tasted nice but the toast was too thick. The chips were good and crisp, the soup had a good flavour but was too salty. Two waitresses came to us at the same time, one on each side which we felt was rather intense. Apart from that we thought the service was good. They have a good spacious play area for children near the toilets as well.
