About Willi's Kitchen
Willi’s Kitchen started back in 2017 and has since grown to be a local favourite within the Wellington community. A husband and wife team with a young family, we started the business to fulfill our dream and passion for food.
William was the Head Chef at The Library for 3 years, and Sous Chef at Chow 3 years prior to that. It has definitely been an advantage for us that William’s work experience and ethic now allows us to bring the best balanced menu we can offer to our customers, as well as offering a huge range of Vegan friendly sweet treats to our customers with special dietary requirements.
Our mission is to bring non-vegan and vegan customers together, and try to find the most creative ways for everyone to enjoy and understand the beauty of food. The majority of our vegan menu items were created to be almost identical to the original. For us the most important principle is to create delicious food either vegan or non-vegan for everyone to enjoy, and change the mindset towards Vegan food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a really delicious dish here, but though I’d specifically mentioned my allergy when ordering, the food seemed to have been cross contaminated because I had a mild allergic reaction immediately. They apologized and refunded me. This place comes highly recommended from friends, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with a nut allergy.

the burger (6/10)
the tempe eggs and tofu bacon (7/10)
the vegan breakfast - sausage, egg, mushroom, hash brown and avo (7.5/10)
vegan nuggets (6/10
the apple crumble 6.5/10)
the caramel chocolate mousse (8.5/10)
the raw Oreo slice (8/10)
The staff are so helpful; friendly and honest service. Tang, the lady who served us, came over and asked us about the food. We gave her an honest review, and she really took our praise and criticism well.
Top marks to you lady
The portions are conservative but so is the pricing. The food is nice, not mind-blowing, but it's of a really good standard and it's tasty enough. There's plenty if options, especially for dessert and they have a nice tea selection.
