About Lightbulb Learning Childcare
Lightbulb Learning is owned by Mathew Richardson who focuses on providing quality childcare for each individual child. Matthew has two sons and has been actively involved in their upbringing.
Matthew is aware how crucial the first 5 years are for each child. The biggest brain development of our lives happens in our first 1,000 days of life and it is so important to support this time by providing rich and meaningful learning experiences for all our tamariki. At Lightbulb Learning the environment is designed specifically for this – with five individual rooms for each child’s age, which creates fantastic environments to support all children’s exploration of the world around them, fostering their curiosity, supporting their interests and dispositions while developing independence, skills and new knowledge. Children learn by doing, watching, trying, giving things a go, experimenting and having fun.
We are family orientated and love spending time getting to know you and your child. Come in and visit us. We would love to show you around our beautiful new environment.

Everyone does a great job but our experiences have been more than what we have expected. The care and reassurance they have is amazing and we have been trying to get friends to come along to get the same amazing experience we have.

The design and layout is awesome the resources are simply out standing and the Teachers are absolutely beautiful with hearts of gold and most importantly they love all the children. My Daughter has been with the center for a few weeks now and she is thriving! If you are thinking about going in to meet Nicole and looking through i highly recommend you do! Hands down this is the best center in Auckland!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lightbulb has exceeded my expectations of a daycare. The staff are amazing and all so friendly and caring towards the children. Everyday my son sees his teachers he has a massive smile on his face making it so easy dropping him off. The facility is always kept exceptionally clean with beautiful age specific rooms and an awesome outdoor area. From someone who started a young baby there I couldn’t recommend lightbulb enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm glad I found Lightbulb daycare. I was desperate to find another daycare for my little girl after she got bit 4 times at her old daycare. Lightbulb was still brand new daycare and I immediately loved the atmosphere. My daughter got comfortable in no time (she was 1 year old at the time). The teachers and management are all lovely and they provide lots of activities for the kids. My daughter loves going to her daycare and she's exciting to go every morning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lightbulb learning is an AMAZING daycare. It is a brand new facility, each room is separate for each age group: 0-1y, 1-2y, 2-3y, 3-4y and 4-5y. This is the first day care that there has been an under 1y room to protect the babies from the bigger kids.
The rooms also have age and developmentally appropriate toys. The outdoor areas are very well set out, lots of land for the kids to explore. Great menu and most of all the teachers are kind and our daughter immediately warmed to them! Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter started attending Lightbulb Learning since June 2018 and she loves going to kindy/preschool. Our daughter used to go to another daycare in a different area previously but we loved Lightbulb Learning in terms of the environment, price, resources that they have for kid’s learning and the staff. All the teachers are lovely and welcoming my daughter loves to communicate with her teachers.
They have a great outdoor play area (bigger than the previous daycare). I would recommend Lightbulb Learning to all parents.
