However the Lyall Bay store the staff are not very helpful and don't even stock chandelier lights so had to travel to Thornton quay shop they are so great there

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I brought back a faulty LED bathroom light I'd bought 18 months earlier at Lighting Direct Thorndon Quay. Mohammed was amazing. First, he found my receipt online. Then he said, they would replace the light with a new pair (as the line I had bought had been discontinued.) He then arranged an electrician to install the new lights at their cost. It's always easy to be good in the normal flow of business, but much tougher to fix things that go wrong. Thanks Lighting Direct for doing the right thing. Five stars thoroughly earned.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff there are amazing very helpful and also they look at trying sav you money I went in to buy this light that was $52 but person asked me if ok have I got spear few mins he comes back with the glass bit I only need and the cost me $9.90c like what a huge savings good prices and good workers il be back there again:-)

Bought 6 lights costing over $1000. Got the biggest 1 wired in only to find it isn’t fit for purpose. Black light shade inside and out. Said a max of 60 watt bulb. Basically dark, so put in 150 watt led light. Still couldn’t light the room. So went back. No problem exchanging the other 5 smaller ones, but refused the one we had installed. So, had to choose again and pay more money for a large one from another range. So now are stuck with a light we can’t use, or sell as it is useless.
How can you sell something that is not fit for purpose. We told you it was going in a kitchen as the main light.
You can’t see it isn’t fit for purpose until it is installed. As per the consumers guarantee act, you need to exchange this one too. We haven’t just changed our minds, we love the light, but it doesn’t work.
Why should we have to take a $200 hit.
Shocking customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thorndon Quay branch... bought heaps for the new build last couple years. Clint was excellent, so was Kris. A couple faulty led fittings were replaced by their contracted electrician at no costs. Their customer focused and excellent services are highly appreciated and valued. Worth making the trip to see Clint and his team. A very satisfied customer.
