Decided to try Lorna Jane this morning at Westfield Riccarton. I'm usually a Lululemon person but was open to changing because I liked the Lorna Jane bike shorts patterns. I tried on a $100 pair of bike shorts and you could see my black underwear through them on both the front and back of the shorts. On top of that, I left the change room and the staff didn't even acknowledge me. They didn't look at me, ask if I did okay, or offer to help me find something else. I was walking out waiting for a "bye" or "have a nice day" but got nothing. Pondered whether I might be invisible but was relieved when the staff at K-mart greeted me shortly afterwards. All this to say, I may have considered a different pair of bike shorts had the staff cared enough to help me. Instead I left with a bad impression and Lorna Jane missed out on a possible brand convert.

I went into Riccarton to get some pants and i asked if they could order some in my size and they said they couldn’t cause the system was down every-time i ring the store to get information on what sizes they have so I’m not Doing a trip thats going to waste my time no one answers the phone one girl that helped me was nice but the other was rude and unhelpful and i think it was the manager its a real problem that retail assistants have rude and a ego attitude when its your job to help customers out why work in that position if you are going to act like you are above your customer its almost like a god mentality i don’t even like going into the shop because of the energy thats put out not all of them are like this there was a lovely young girl that helped me but it seems not only this store but other places are bad at being kind and helpful i went to lu lu lemon and they were so kind and caring to me i walked out feeling happy shame that this isn’t addressed and not answering the phone all the time its going to make customers not want to shop in store this has happened more than once now this is why I’m reviewing so they can see and maybe change how they train their staff

Disappointing that out of the 2 staff there today neither said hello or acknowledged me in the store. In fact I didn’t see them speak to any other customer unless the customer approached them. It’s not hard to acknowledge customers.

I went into the store yesterday, only to be ignored for well over 15 minutes while 4 staff stood behind the counter sorting stock. I had to ask if I could try things on and they didn’t seem to care what I had in my hands going into the fitting room or if I needed any help with sizing. They looked at me weirdly for even chatting to them about the product and seemed almost put out that I was asking for sizes. Not impressed at all as I myself, work in retail this is not acceptable behaviour . Appalling service.

Worst customer service, the girl working in the Riccarton store didn’t seem interested in even saying hello or even offering to help, she was busy on her phone even whilst I was talking to her. I was in to buy something but with that service and the rudeness I decided to not get anything and leave. Won’t be returning to that store again. With all the other reviews about the customer service clearly nothing get actioned to fix a problem that is literally putting people off coming back! So disappointing.

Do not recommend coming here. The service, the team, the attitude. So poor. A brand that promotes and supports those needing active wear to feel comfortable and supported has a funny way of showing it in store. Ended up leaving and spending money at Rebel sport instead. So disappointed as I would've happily spent money in store. It almost feels degrading being in the workers presence, staring not helping. So so bad! LJ you need to do something ASAP to help bring that store back to life.

Absolutely appalling service from this COMPANY in general!!! First time customer and never ever again! Purchased some leggings just over a week ago, zip came off as per the reviews on their website. Contacted online chat, that was unhelpful even with providing photos of the zip that snapped off. Online chat said they need to be assessed instore to ensure it is a fault ? Returned instore, asked for refund. Two new girls working and they were unaware of returns or reordering system so the phoned the manager. Manager said refund cannot be issued as they were no longer issuing refunds or there was a problem with refunds. The girls reordered a different pair of tights for us and now get email to say our order is cancelled!!!! Terrible terrible customer service and now I'm owed money and there is no mention on how I will receive my refund!!! Never again, and Lorna Jane, support your new staff a bit better. They needed more support on your systems. Online service is just a joke too. Consumer beware!

Experienced the worst customer service Thursday evening. Not once was I greeted by the 3 girls standing at the counter, keeping in mind there was only me and one other customer in store so it was super quiet. I wasn’t offered any help whilst I had a handful of clothes in my hands to try on whilst still making my way around the store. I then had to find and help myself to a dressing room. Coming out of the dressing room, it was so awkward and I felt so uncomfortable. The girls at the counter just looked at me dead in the face. Didn’t ask how ‘everything went’ or if I ‘needed any help’ not even a simple hello or a warm smile. I then felt like they were almost having a giggle as I was walking out of the store. Unfortunately I didn’t end up purchasing anything I wanted due to the customer service. I also work in retail and it was just appalling. It doesn’t take much time and effort out of your day to be nice. Makes me so sad to see this behaviour.
