★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Garden of Tane is a beautiful scenic reserve in the heart of Akaroa, Banks Peninsula.
Lovers Lookout is situated inside the reserve nearby overlooking Akaroa Lighthouse. Walk directly opposite on a diagonal back from the lighthouse 20 metres towards town, is a gravel road. You can park there and you will some stairs on the left, walk on the left and you will be at Lovers Lookout in 5 minute walk.
