★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After 15-minute winding up the hillside, the road plateaus and you are at a small junction where there are two gravel roads and a small space to park next to the entrance of Te Oka Reserve. It is well marked and easy to find but the track is very exposed to the elements and it can get very windy.
One of the great perks of Te Oka Reserve is it is a drone preferred location by the Christchurch council, meaning you can fly drones there. (when it is not windy).
Final thoughts.
Te Oka Reserve is a great location for a day trip but make sure it is not windy or a 25 plus degree day and you should be fine.
