★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice local spot. We ate here for lunch and I had the avocado toast with halloumi. The halloumi was overcooked and a small portion and the toast bread didn't seem to be cooked enough at all (quite dry and tasted stale), so felt it was a little disappointing for the price but still managed to enjoy. We were surprised to see the kitchen staff weren't wearing any gloves (at all, or hair nets etc) while preparing the food which concerned me from a food hygiene perspective. Would like to see that change next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing coffee, great service, and delicious fried chicken and waffles! The weekly specials are always yummy and so is the cabinet food! The chicken and mushroom pies from there are ? Luciano runs a great spot, love that we live so close to our fave local!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The brother of one of the friends we were meeting recommended this place and it might just be my favourite cafe now. The coffee was incredible, and there are plenty of gluten free good options too.
We were a table of four that all ordered the waffles with bacon and banana (mine being gluten free) and we weren't disappointed. My flat white was smooth with zero burnt bitterness, tried my partner's mocha latte and his was just as delicious.
Looking forward to going back and trying more things from the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always my favorite cafe to visit when I get to Christchurch. The food is always flavorful and unique, the drinks are created by expert baristas and even though the coffee is great, I am particularly partial to the hot chocolate made with real melted chocolate drizzled down the sides of the glass.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A stalwart in the Christchurch cafe scene, Luciano Espresso Bar has been around for years. And you can tell, they're so freakin good! The times I've visited, they've always been absolutely cranking but run like a well oiled machine. The coffee is some of the best in ChCh, good selection of cabinet food and counter stuff like muffins. I haven't had anything off the menu, but I'm sure that'll be good too.
