★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service is par excellence, their delivery service is not only very reasonable priced but is also fast and efficient. The meat always arriving at your door in an insulated box together with a freezer pack ensuring that your meat is still chilled and in good condition.
Meat quality is very good together with the price, better still when its on special.
The staff are extremely helpful and are only to willing to go the extra distance for you.
Keep up the good work I am sure there are lots of other companies that would envy your service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Average at best, better prices and quality can be found at the supermarket. The Ferry Rd store beats this one hands down and is worth the extra travel. Won't be bothering with the Riccarton store again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I worked at mad butcher for a couple of months at the counter, while I was there the other co workers would talk and laugh about me ,even though I did nothing but serve customers,in particular a girl named lynaire would talk about customers and laugh at the back of the butchers , with there meat they just re wrapped it up at the end of the day the meat would sit there for weeks and they would just change the date on it and many people came in complaining the meat was stale don’t recommend going to work here I felt like crying every time my shift ended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Normally I would not said things about shopping but today, me and my partner have a pretty bad experience at Mad Butcher Riccarton. We walked in the store and saw the 2 trays of chicken feet with price 3.99$/ kg. We asked the girl if there’s more, we wanna get 10kg, and they can pack it for us, we will be back in a minute. When we came back, they bring out the chicken feet we order plus the 2 pack with the price tag 3.99$/kg on it just before. The thing is, ALL OF IT’S BEEN REPRICE TO 5$/kg. They put another sticker on top of the price tag to cover it and charge us $5/kg. When we asked why the price go up? The girl denied to answer and run behind to the back, she asked another boy to come and none of them can give us an answer. Then another man came out and said that today’s price is $5/kg, take it or not take it.
We will happy to take it, if they charge $5 for the lot they said it’s today price, and charge $3.99 for the 2 trays that been sitting there and we pick it up before, not $5 for the whole thing. It’s just a few dollars different, not a big deal to us. But not honest and not nice to each other is not acceptable. We will never come back to buy anything from there anymore, and surely all of my friends and relatives will not support this business anymore. Good luck trying to trick people in that cheap way
