★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always regret my vists to magic masala and today was no exception.. I've lived locally and supported local restaurants for the best part of 20 yrs now. When I always request a.extra crispy naan bread as I've had many doughy , gluggy naan from this establishment hence why I always ask for a well cooked naan. The rae taste.of dough is far of putting and it makes me mad that you are happy to take my money and deliver a customers request.
After this visit I don't think Indian cuisine is amongst a favourite of mine and when I think of magic masala I think uncaring and underwhelming

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magic Masala has been our local, go to restaurant for 3 years. It has consistently excellent food, good prices and reasonable portion sizes. The owner/ maître d' is always friendly, and the biryani is amazing. I could go on, haha.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best in Christchurch, wouldn't go anywhere else! Amazing, non oily, freshly made curries and fantastic Naan bread. We ordered a Chicken Bhuna with Naan Bread. The main came with basmati rice, the chicken was juicy and the sauce was full of fresh ginger. Probably the best Bhuna I've ever had. If you like it Hot ask them for Indian Hot and you'll get a good amount of heat. Perfect! Thanks Magic Masala, we'll be back again very soon ❤️

Great meals at a decent price. Good service and the owners have high standards - which is rare in many restaurants.
They insisted on replacing my starters on one occasion, as the owner stated that they wouldn't be crispy. I said it didn't bother me, but they were replaced in 5 minutes to make sure they were just right.
Recommended.
