★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good beach to surf when the swell is running. A nice place for a picnic or walk. BBQ are available and picnic tables. Toilets and change rooms there. Surf club patrols in summer. Cafe nearby. Good parking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed a lovely picnic under blue skies and the shade of large leafy trees on a grassed bank overlooking the estuary. There are several barbecue tables spread along the estuary foreshore too. Clean public toilets nearby and a cafe - being part of the local holiday park. The beach is sandy on the estruary side with rough shells and rocky on the beach coastal side, but walkable. We didn't swim, but it appeared that water was fast moving with tidal influences. If swimming, we would suggest great care and constant observation, especially of children...
