★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic spot where i felt away from it all. Who would have thought I could escape the hustle and bustle while still being so close to the big smoke.
From the house there are walks through native bush where I was accompanied by bird song the whole time. When I walked high enough I could see the the busy port of Lyttelton and next time I come I have promised myself a walk to the top of Mt Evans, just over then back a bit further.
I will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a stunning location for an event, the landscape surrounding the property is breathtaking and Andrea and Paul are brilliant hosts. The house has that warm farmhouse feel, with enough luxury to make sure you feel pampered! So close to central Christchurch at around an hour's drive, yet it feels like you're a million miles away from city life. Everything about Manaaki Mai is magic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Manaaki Mai is for small weddings and accommodation and what a fantastic place to stay the night. So close to Christchurch but so far away from the rush and impatience of the city life.
If you really want a rest and some relaxation come here for several nights.
All I could hear was the pleasant sound of a stream running over rocks tumbling down hill.
A pleasant and warm place to stay with a log burner going in the background.
Looking up the back there was snow on the peninsular hills that had settled over night.
With tracks leading up the back to native bush and then along the tops of the peninsular there are some amazing views,
This is a must do experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing place, from the moment you enter Manaaki Mai your stress levels disappear. The surroundings and view are top notch. Fruit trees, nut trees, olive groves, forest, birds including a magnitude of wood pigeons. All this and a view of the harbour and surrounding hillside views. Andrea and Paul are great hosts, very friendly and welcoming. You will not be disappointed if serenity and tranquillity are important to you. They are working on regeneration and predator free. Don’t hesitate to book you will not be disappointed. I will continue to use Manaaki Mai xx
