★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had only a night here and we loved it. Our kids really enjoyed the campfire. We bought a $8 firewood pack from countdown and manged to find a few more from the woods nearby, enough for the whole night. Our camp was close to the river and not far from the toilet. No hand sanitizer and we did not use the token operating shower. The playground was basic, enough for kids while waiting for the food. It's a cheap $28 stay in a non powered tent for a family of four.

Basic camping by the Rivers edge, running drinkable water & power outlets in kitchen hut, couple of swings, $3 token shower for 4 minutes, $9 per person a night, children are extra $5...
First in first serve for an un-powered site, set up your camp, then go pay at the cafe/reception across the river, OK for small open fires & dog friendly too.
Beautiful summer swimming in the River...
3 Levels to campground, kitchen & toilet are on 2nd level, top level powered sites (must be booked).
Would give 5 stars but price is a tad expensive for facility & area..
Go and enjoy yourself!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a cool camping spot right at the river with the huge cliffs on the other side. The facilities are good and the staff are lovely. Heaps to do around there so you’ll never get bored!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Special place with an interesting geology, will be very nice when the new toilet block is finished. A bit odd that you have to go over the bridge and then back to check in. Could use a registration and a money box just as they do on the DOC sites.

After years of driving past & saying we must camp there, we did.
So down the hill & over the old bridge(new one being constructed) we went.
Great sites overlooking the cliffs & river.
Amenities clean & adequate. Free hot showers!
Bonus of cafe & bar on site with great seating & views.
River was lovely to swim in, big swim hole.
Kayaking an option too.
Walks nearby.
