β β β β β An absolutely magic stay! Amazing food, wine, atmosphere and service. It was a luxurious stay, every small detail has been thought of. The super friendly and welcoming service from check in to check out made our weekend really special.

β β β β β Robyn was personally attacking, viscous, petty, aggressive, demeaning, rude, and violating. She said her favorite guests were Americans and Danes, and that she frequently has problems with Aussies and British.

β β β β β Absolutely fabulous! Amazing views - sunrise in the morning and sundown in the evening. High end and beautifully appointed accomodation with a great and engaging host who has thought of everything. The swim spa is fantastic - just what the doctor ordered on a cool misty evening after a long drive! This is luxe accomodation but the ambience and feeling is of being a welcome friend more than a paying guest. Highly recommended!!

β β β β β We had an amazing night celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary at Marriners Boutique Guesthouse. Robyn was so delightful and helpful from the initial inquiry until departure. The guesthouse is a 5 star designed detached accommodation with every detail carefully chosen. The deck is private and relaxing with views to the sea. The guesthouse comes with a relaxing sitting area, modern kitchen, dining table and large ensuite bathroom with a lovely rain shower. We were extremely relaxed from beginning to end. We were served an incredible 4 course meal which were tailored to our dietary needs. From the vegetarian charcuterie platter, the local garden salad, the curried pasta and the home-made ice cream. Every dish was fresh, delicious and beautiful. Robyn also created an incredible wine pairing beginning with bubbles, silky shiraz with dinner and sweet dessert wine. We had an incredibly romantic and relaxing time at Marriners Boutique Guesthouse and we would highly recommend this accommodation.

β β β β β My wife booked this for one night for a family roadtrip holiday around northland. She did not mention we had a baby as this was not on the booking form. Nowhere on the sight did it say it was not child friendly. We arrived after a long drive from Auckland to a very hostile "welcome". Robyn was clearly very anxious about our one year old 'breaking' the room even though he has stayed in much nicer accomodation, she eventually was 'ok' to have us but we felt so unwelcome we left. We had our own food for him and portacot and he would have been going to bed very shortly after arriving there. This was not an easy decision as Rawene is literally in the middle of nowhere. We ended up staying at a backpackers, which to Robyns credit she recommended. Think carefully about booking this and don't be fooled by the other good reviews. This is not 'luxury or boutique' as we have experienced it. Quaint, quirky and ok would be more accurate descriptions. Dishevelled gardens and not in walking distance to anything. Not as presented online, and the worst part was the rude host.
