★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got 2 pieces snapper sausage crab sticks scallops fritters and chips and everything was cooked perfectly especially the scallops and fish which was how i remembered them from when we used to live in the area so was well worth the drive from Waitakere yum

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can thank the team at Marsic Bro's today. I phoned in a big order (23 fish and 6 scoops of chips) this morning for a shared lunch at 12.30 they were super accommodating. And the food.. YUM, fish was battered nicely and good sizes, the chips well cooked and not super salty. and the popped in a couple of extra fish bites (unexpected but very very kind) all of it went down well, and all the staff raved about it. THANK YOU Marsic Bro's delicious !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They are fresh tasting fish there but they give so little amount of chips! $5 chips and it is honestly one scoop its shocking. Put more chips in the packs or if extra chips are ordered then put extra in! It's annoying opening the pack to very little chips even though I ordered extra not to mention they forget things in the order as well

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After returning home to New Zealand from Australia after many years I was looking forward to a good feed of fish and chips and having high reviews from Google and my brother recommendation, I decided to go all out and buy battered muscles, battered scallops, crab sticks, fish and chips total $45.00
After opening the wrapper I was highly disappointed in the fish and chips, I'm not a fussy eater by all means in fact I actually threw half of the fish and chips in the rubbish bin! That tells you a lot.
My brother was surprised on why they were bad, as they use to be good back in the day. We called the shop not to get a free feed but to express our feedback. Did you cook them any differently? where they frozen? The guy replied no different, there cooked exactly the same. The muscles, scallops, fish, crab stick honestly had no taste they tasted frozen, the batter which was described was not paper thin, in fact it was oily and had large chucks of battery spots all over the fish.
We went to Tobys in Glen Innes as my brother said they are also good. Tobys was on, one of the best fish and chips I've every tasted 9/10. Everything had so much taste and paper thin batter with clean light yellow oil.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been going here for f&c from childhood (c. 45 years) and still just the same yum factor! They do it a little different here - it's not the gooey, crispy, oily mass of batter than most places dish out - the batter is properly cooked through and tastes/feels like it's always been part of the fish rather than a batter clip-on. I've not found their equal for battered fish anywhere in NZ or the world for that matter. And now my young kids won't go anywhere else either...Oh, and get a couple of extra pieces to put in the fridge and have cold the next day with a touch of tomato sauce - honestly, give it a try - it's amazing!
