★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How can you really stuff up fish and chips? Fish was ok. Rate that 5 out of 10. Chips were awful - tasteless, soft and flaccid - 1 out of 10. But the squid rings are the worst I've ever had (and I only ate one). 90 % batter over the thinnest most rubbery excuse for squid - scores a zero. What a mistake. Accidentally thought I was ordering from the shop across the road. Never will return. Woeful!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First rate cooked fresh fish, and great chips, it's a family owned business, I been coming here on and off, it's my choice fish & chip shop in that area. What's this got to do with a good price on fresh batter or bread crumbed fish. One word. Winning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to this shop yesterday on a public holiday, It was quite busy. However, the food standard was definitely exceptional for Fish and Chips. Unsure as to what David Kainer was reviewing because the squid rings tasted like actual squid not just flour blend. to each his own, I enjoyed my food and would most definitely come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for the first time yesterday and got two portions of snapper fish and chips. Fish were perfectly done, batter crispy but without being greasy, and the fish moist and tender inside. Chips were also great, well seasoned and tasty without being overly salty. The portions were large and more than enough for two, and all this for under $20! Fantastic value for money, can't recommend enough.

We ordered 1 x Tarakihi and 2 x Hapuka and a portion of chips for 2 of us and have filled our stomachs. I recommend to order those 2 fish (I'll try the snapper next time) The fish were great and it was cooked with old school batter which if you are after more fancy gourmet Fish and chips then maybe not for you.
Chips were good but could be a little more crispy (my personal preference!)
It's a small family business and you may have to wait a bit but it's worth the wait.
He wasn't super friendly but not rude as well.
Simple English with thank you and a smile when we were leaving the shop.
We were still talking about the food next day so it's showing how much we've enjoyed!
We will definitely go back.
