β β β β β I visited maude to take my mother for a wine tasting and we had fantastic service the whole time we were there. Very polite and happy staff, some great wines with staff having very good knowledge of the wines. We both felt very well looked after during out visit and would be very happy to return and recommend to friends.

β β β β β Spent a lovely afternoon here, just tried their champagne (very nice) and a few platters. Staff friendly, decor good, comfortable venue just a pleasant way to while the afternoon away.

β β β β β Nice wines & beautiful estate, but unfortunately not great service, although it was not crowded at all. Cheese platter order was forgotten, we had to wait long to get water/ the next wine. nice & friendly owners, but the organization of the business wasn't too good. Besides I find it very expensive: I never paid more that 5-10$ for a tasting, we paid 15$ for 7 wines. Cheese platter was also pricey (but very, very delicious!) with 25$.

β β β β β The wine was good and the views too but poor experience compared to other wineries/vineyards in Wanaka.
You have to pay $10 for the tasting, which is then deducted when you buy the bottle (basically they are making you pay either way). First time I've ever had to pay for wine tasting...
What I love about tastings is get to know the history and craft behing it all which you don't get at all in Maude. You only get a piece of paper with a brief description of each wine. I would strongly advise the owners to shift their focus towards building a stronger tasting experience as it's what gets people to respect and buy their wine.

β β β β β Service was excellent, entrees were very tasty. The mains were not liked as much as the rest of the meal with some overly strong flavours and a lack of sauce on others. But overall a great night out.

β β β β β Had nibbles and taster tray. Wines were all excellent and truffle fries and chicken can be recommended.
Outdoor seating had heaters and rugs and probably stayed a lot longer than needed to due to comfort levels.

β β β β β We first experienced Maude when on a campervan trip in January 2019. Now we have moved to Central Otago and can visit regularly. The Poison Creek Pinot Noir is one of our favorites and the truffle fries and chicken are regular nibbles. Plus, if you are fortunate enough to meet Ben (who is here all the time) he will take good care of you and has a great memory. He now greets us and just asks, βthe usual?β We go find a seat and the magic happens!
