★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found dat da meal l ordered frm dis place was nicely packed into see thru container's which started wif carrots alngwif pea's on da bottom followed by da beautifully cooked roast on top of da vegetables followed lastly by da beautiful smell of pure gravy yummy yummy l gotta fill my tummy ... ? ? ?

Why do we keep going back....they have the best food and best customer service....we base this on other such shops we have been at, both in Whangarei and else where including Auckland. We always leave Maunu Roast Shop with a smile on our face and again when we have completed our meal from there ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was really craving a roast and this one was the closest to me. In all honesty I was extremely disappointed!! The gravy had almost no flavour, same with the potatoes. The potatoes were also hard and stale which was such a let down! Lamb was dry and wasn't given anyamb sauce with it. From my experience, I would not recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow. Thank you so much for catering our little boy’s 1st birthday! The food was amazing and the portions are generous. Unfortunately we did have a few people pull out due to COVID but that only meant more food for those who came. The roast potatoes were a hit! Thanks Alex and team.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really wanted to give this roast shop another opportunity, as I haven't been for a year or two since last disappointed. I drive past regularly & it would be good to grab a takeaway often, if it lived up to my expectations. I ordered small meals and the meat portion was definitely small. Pork crackling pieces very tiny. I object to being charged $1 for gravy on the side. I don't want my roast spud soggy when I get it home. The little container on the side doesn't cost anywhere near that to provide it separately.
No bag to put my order in. Good job I had something in my car or it'd be difficult to transport without potential spillage.
The "how has your day been" sounded very forced & not genuine. Just don't bother asking.
I will drive out of my way to go to another roast shop. It's not that that food tasted bad, it's just what your getting for your money, including the service.
