★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazed staff were allowed to walk in (to go to work), but customers were virtually lynched for not having their masks on to the satisfaction on the child on guard duty at the door. When my wife queried why with the Manager, she was told, staff were not allowed to wear their own masks while in Maccas Uniform. Her response was to laugh heartly while saying REALLY, You are Joking??!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was 7:45 driving a vehicle with a trailer that was not able to access the drive thru safely. Shop open to drive thrus only. Would not assist in any way. Yet says they are open from 6AM to 11PM. Tried to walk through as have been instructed by other better franchises whe the wall in have been closed but was rudely told I was not able to be served as I wasn’t in a vehicle. Poor service and definitely not reflecting the McDonald’s brand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience I've ever received from a mcdonald's in New Zealand, Friday 03/06/22. Longest wait I've ever had, post mix Coke has no fizz and order was cold and smelt like an old fish n chip shop. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and went there on Saturday 03/06/22 thinking it was a one off and received the same plus got my order wrong. Never again. Very Disappointed!!

The restaurant is very clean. And the staff service very friendly

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived at the wrong time. Behind a bunch of bus passengers and with a long queue at the drive through. They were short staffed due to covid. Despite anxiety that the bus driver might leave without them, everyone kept their cool on both sides of the counter during the long wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fast friendly service. We ended up driving the extra hour from Taihape McDonald's as they were out of all beverages (except coffee.... Not what you need for 6 kids!) and service was painfully slow.
Well worth the drive, and the food was piping hot!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived just before Christmas 21 on the second day after being allowed leave Auckland. The staff were so nice and helpful especially as we had a young baby. The help us with warming baby bottle and covid cleaned table right in front of us. It would have been harder to get better service even in a high end restaurant, the service would put most of these to shame.
