Terrible experience. Would not go anywhere near the place. Problems here are compounded by very very poor management. The boss should have stayed in medicine as his managerial skills are non existent. If loosing your partner is not bad enough being subjected to what I was from this outfit was abhorrent. Avoid this place at all costs!

Mercy Hospice is a remarkable emblem of caring for others. The staff here are exceptional carers and offer warm support and empathy to everyone. This is a hospice with exemplary staff who work closely with other Auckland's hospitals, doctors/nurses, as more significantly the family and friends of hospice residents. This is a much blessed and cherished emblem of Auckland's health care because of the way that it truly helps the dying. This Hospice was opened 2 decades ago by the Right Reverend Dr Dunn, the Bishop of Auckland. It is non denominational but is sited on one of Auckland's most important historic sites of dedicated faith.

Unfortunately Covid '19" the sequel made itself known and became a pain in the arse when my brother was in Mercy hospice, the rules and what was expected and there was no getting around these rules and who would want too. Only one person was allowed to stay with family member, you couldn't leave or venture beyond the fence or gate perimeter or you would find yourself exiled and fair enough too. I stayed and i had the best time with my brother while he was still able to communicate, and before MND stole what he had left. I was well fed and looked after emotionally and mentally. When it was close to the time of your loved one passing, yourself and possibly two others are allowed in to spend 5he last few hours with them. The staff at mercy hospice on College Hill are truly amazing, very comforting fir myself and my brother.

Hello and assalam wa alaykoum . I would like to thank and express all my feelings and experience and gratitude while coming to mercy hospice Akl. We must value life and treasure each breath we take. We must value each person and how he or she touches our lives everyday.!!! My brother was there for a week and then he went home and came back again .. Appreciation is the highest form of prayer, for it acknowledges the presence of good wherever you shine the light of your thankful thoughts.Well ,I will start with the reception ,there was so much of passion, love , support , care , encouragement , gentleness ,politeness , positiveness , ohh my GOD ...ITS THE BEST IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD .!!! I HAVE been a RGON from 1994 but this was my BEST experience IN "'PALLIATIVE CARE"'.!!! I will never forget that smile as I walked into that facility , starting from the reception . How polite , and how supportive and it seemed like they can feel us , our sadness and our pain as a staff of that hospice . So proffesional and so touching and heartfelt . Then the nurses , caregivers , the cleaners , the support workers ,,,to be HONEST ALL THE STAFF had been so overwhelming ,so understanding and so caring. !!! Trust me, just their smiles : lessens the pain and suffering. The touch and caring is just next .. their humblesness and sharing and caring just relieves and gives that feeling of being loved and cared for and being WANTED ..!!! I HAVE witnessed it continuously from Saturday 11am uptill Sunday 2am . My brother had sadly left us at 5.09 pm but we were all so noisy until 2am. I just wanted to apologise as there were other patients there to be considered . I very very humbly would like to apologise for that . I only wish we could do more for him.. But it was the will of GOD !!! MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE AND THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH / GOD GRANT HIM JANNATUL FIRDOUS , THE HIGHEST PARADISE AMEEN!!! I WOULD LIKE TO SAY AFEW MORE WORDS . On behalf of the families and friends of my brother's..I would like to thank, full heartedly to the mercy hospice for taking care of my sweet brother who passed away on Sunday the 27th of July 2019. Life is worth living if you love to love, if you do what you like, if you work with pleasure, if you live so that you can leave something behind, if you learn to share and appreciate every moment you are healthy, free and alive, PLEASE appreciate what GOD has given us .. Also a very full heartfull appreciation and thanks to the staff who provided services to the family who had spent the night at hospice !! Trust me , but words are very less to express how much that meant to us ,to allow us to stay beside our brother with all the passionate hospitality . Words cannot express my feelings nor my thanks for all your support . Thanking all of you for your perseverance ,support and care . Customer service training benefits everyone involved. Your customers will feel valued and appreciated. Your employees will gain more job satisfaction, take personal responsibility for customers, and have pride in knowing they are doing their best. Very proffesional !! The staff had respected our religion and values and tradition. ..amazing ITS SUPERB !! It was superb, very breathtaking and very very heart touching. I will never ever forget my experience with all the staffs at this hospice. People want to be appreciated, cared for, loved, trusted, and respected. But they also want to be understood, and if you master the skills to achieve that, you truly become exceptional. May THE ALMIGHTY GOD'S BLESSING BE ON HOSPICE FOREVER, AMEN . When you hit rock bottom like this, experience the stress and truly fight in order to survive, you will not only appreciate the value of money. You will also realize that you don't need much, that you need very little to get by. You learn to appreciate the simple things in life. MY SWEET LOVING AND CARING BROTHER was a "'DOWN TO EARTH PERSON "", MY HEART CRIES AS I WRITE .!!? MAY THE HOSPICE RISE AND SHINE AS IT IS , AND ALWAYS AMEN and JAZAAK ALLAHU KHAIRAN SINCERELY THE loving ones.

There's no words that can express my gratitude on their professionalism of the nurse's/doctors & receptionist who works at Mercy Hospice. So grateful and humbled for taking care of my beautiful sister who is now with my parents beyond the vail of life. It is because of this I have decided to become a life time supporter and joined the "Stand By Me" club. I’m eternally grateful to you all.

What an empathetic, supportive and beautiful environment for my beautiful mum to be in during her last days. The family and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The medical professionals were simply fantastic! They administered expert care to mum and treated her with immense dignity and respect that she so deserved. Mercy Hospice your holistic approach from the initial warm welcome right until the very end was exemplary. Also appreciated the spiritual support and the grief counselling service provided. Thank you for everything you did for our mum and for all that you are. Viva Mercy Hospice!

Having recieved care here since 2017 and now I am back in 2020. The whole team are living saints in my eyes. I find it difficult that any individual had a poor experience and I struggle to understand how that came to be. Maybe I am just one of those fortunate souls that have only had the best of care medically and the team looking after your dietary needs morning noon and night. I may appear biased yet I feel privileged to have been a respite care patient over these years. Thank you everyone you don't know what a difference you make to those of us who are terminally ill yet cared for with the highest levels of empathy and compassion.

The most nicest caring people I’ve ever met.. We are blown away with the how much kindness love and support was given not only to our mum “Col” but also to our Dad and entire family. Thank you so much! Xx
