★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we always love to eat at Momotea (Ponsonby branch), Asian food is always the first option for us to eat out as a family.. so we decided to visit the North Shore one as it is closer to home.. This place seems old, the seats are peeling off, the floors are dirty, oily and sticky (many rice drops on the floors) bowls are all out, the staffs there need to smile too .. but with the food, its yummy, and so I am hoping the kitchen is clean too..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ worst experience ever in the north shore branch. The waiter pretended not to see us so we need to walk to the reception to order finally(literally only six customers in the shop). Food doesn’t taste good compared to usual. The drink is horrible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered take away Malaysian Fried rice. On menu it says meal is a combination of shrimp, chicken, mixed beans, tofu and fried egg. But was just a meal with rice with fried egg and some frozen beans. Not the first time this happened. Not worth going anymore

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For many years, Momo Tea has been our go to place for celebrations! We love to take the kids for bubble tea! Always delicious and always a good time. Recently after a visit, we thought our daughter had left her kobo reader behind. I ended up speaking to staff who did their best to find it. In the end, Kevin the manager went out of his way to help us and found the clue we were looking for- our daughter hadn’t left it behind at all!!! Anyways, this review covers years of our enjoyment at mono tea and in particular celebrates the good intentions and care they have for their customers. Thank you Kevin, and everyone at Momo Tea. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great to see Momo Tea still alive at this neck of the woods! The service was great here and the food came out fast and our waiter was spot on. The chicken knuckle, salty fish fried rice were all classics and up to standard but the tofu was on the sour side already - so wasn't fresh at all. All in all will come back but please serve food that is fresh ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disgusting. The food was horrible as was service. I was severely disappointed in everything that was there. It was an unsanitary place to eat at and I unfortunately got sick after eating this food and drink. My friends and I plan to never go back here after this horrible experience. The kitchen and self service sauce bar was shockingly gross. We were eating something which we thought was chicken but I am pretty sure it was not. We also ordered the pork dumplings where we found clear jelly and it tasted like it had been frozen and reheated. This is place is utterly disgraceful and disappointing as a restaurant. I recommend to everyone thinking about going here to eat or drink, takeaway or eat in, do NOT.
