About Mortgage Managers
North West Mortgages Limited is a locally owned and operated business of mortgage advisers trading under the name Mortgage Managers.
Based in Hobsonville we are perfectly located to service people in immediate areas plus having easy access to West Auckland and the North Shore.
We have new offices at 124 Hobsonville Road (beside the new Countdown) or we can come to you. For people living out of Auckland or out of New Zealand we are able to communicate easily over the internet using email, conferencing software or the phone.

Many people would have known us as the team from Mortgage Link West having operated as a licensee since 2004; however a decision was made in 2016 to leave the Mortgage Link group and The Mortgage Supply Company was selected as a group (brand) that had the support services a good mortgage advisers needs. Due to recent changes (in 2019) where they joined with the Australian group Astute Financial, it was decided to establish a new brand and we are now known as Mortgage Managers.

Over the years he has sourced many home loans for first home buyers, has restructured and refinanced numerous mortgages, arranged finance for property investors and property developers and has a reputation for doing the hard finance deals where people have been told there are no options for them. Often you might just want an opinion or a second opinion and that is okay too.

Stuart understood my situation and knew the best way to handle this. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are writing a honest and factual review for Stuart Wills based on our personal experience as a broker under the trading name as Mortgage Managers based in Hobsonville.
To our suprise, Stuart is also the director/owner of the business according to the nz company office register.
The complaint process on their website goes to Stuart, so my guess is (as our request to discuss about our experience has never been responded to) don't bet on it if you are seeking to talk about an issue or an experience that is with Stuart.
We contacted Mortgage Managers for an inital chat and being so close to Hobsonville Point, we thought to give them a try. Stuart was our point of contact and initally started ok, and we were impressed how he came across to us.
We waited three months and then decided to give Stuart a follow up call and another one after a few weeks later, which resulted in no success on a break and re fixing existing home loan option.
Stuart gave his word to at least update us good or bad and failed to deliver.
We felt we could no longer proceed and lost all confidence and respect for Stuart.
I think as the owner of the company, giving your word and failing to deliver, in our case was simply to email or give us a call, was dissapointing.
As stated in our email to you, no hard feelings but dissapointed as we thought based on the reviews, mortgage managers were reputable in Hobsonville Point.
In any case, if you do see this review we are always open for a transparent chat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I were looking for a broker to help us buy our first home and been told by someone from NZHL we would not be able to get approved. I found mortgage managers and decided to reach out as they had good reviews to see if there was another option as we were after buying a new build.
We had initial chat with Stuart Wills where I explained how we were turned down by NZHL due to only having 10% deposit and explained our situation. Initially he was great he expressed he felt he could help us and that NZHL was connected to kiwi-bank and he would be able to reach out to other banks and lenders. My partner and I filled out all the information needed and provided him with bank statements. After this i had contacted him as we were looking at houses and were interested in two and were wanting to know possibility of getting pre approved.
He sent an email saying he would get back to me soon. However time went by and I Did not hear from him. I sent him many follow up emails as I wanted to stick with the same broker but got no response at all. I sent him emails about the properties we were interested in as thought it would encourage him to reach out as there was a property of interest and urgency to get a pre-approval. No response.
We were aware that banks were tight and having a 10% deposit was unfavorable but since he knew the situation and felt optimistic about it I was disappointed with the lack of response. We would’ve loved to hear back even if it was negative news it would’ve been great to just have had some response back. I feel this was so unprofessional. On top of that would see him post on the Facebook first home buyers page constantly which was so frustrating as we were wanting help. We felt we could no longer trust him and lost all respect for Stuart and went with another broker who was able to assist us with our first home purchase.
