02/12/2016 I initially took my car in for a WOF, which they subsequently failed and said the 2 rear shocks needed replacing, fair enough. So after I get the work done ($450 later, not including the WOF which I got elsewhere because I was told it did include the WOF) I notice a sound coming from the rear of the car, its not bad so I decide to just monitor it. It starts to get progressively worse so I take it back. Now here's where it gets starts getting fishy to say the least. 1st mechanic takes a look, ''have you had your brakes changed recently?'' (obviously trying to shift the blame) No,I reply "well is seems as though the pads are rubbing...blah blah blah" I reply "Well there was no rubbing when I brought it in here?'' So he goes away to have a think, out comes the big cheese (obviously thinks I came down in a shower yesterday) ''Jump in i'll take you for a ride and tell you what I think is wrong'' so off we go, now in his ''expert opinion" its has suddenly gone from being a problem with the brakes to being a problem with the diff (cha-ching cha-ching) I'm not having a bar of it. Turns out it was a wheel bearing cost me $60 to get it fixed. So if you are considering taking your car here DON'T!!!! Bunch of money hungry shysters, I wouldn't even let them service my lawn mower.BEWARE!!!!

I would fist like to say that I am astounded by all the 1 star reviews. I would like to give my own experience as a point to show kindness goes both ways. If you are an understanding and kind customer, they will return that to you tenfold. When I got my first car nearly two years ago now, I joined the AA. As a part of my membership, I got a discounted service. When I received my car back a few hours later, I was charged double what I initially thought I was going to spend due to 'repairs', and they STILL failed my WOF. I immediately took it to Mt Albert Auto, who were able to fit me in that day - i assume it was a slow day - and do the small things necessary and pass my WOF. They also told me that my front mudguards had very recently been 'attached' with heavy duty zipties. I can only assume this had happened at AA, as they most certainly were fine before I took it to them. Flash forward over the next couple years, and I have had my car serviced and fixed up three or four times with them. Every time I bring in my car, I am met with a smile. The thing that really does it for me, is that any time the car needs a new part here or there that will cost more than the original quote, they will contact me BEFORE doing any more work to get my consent. Overall, I couldn't recommend this place enough. GREAT JOB GUYS!

Overall, quite expensive for the quality of the service provided. They're amazing and friendly in person, however the service I asked for resulted in a much higher bill than advertised, without prior warning. Also, quoted quite highly for a repair job which cost 1/4 of the price elsewhere. If they were cheaper, would easily be 4 or 5 stars. Easily located workshop, and good parking

First time customer experience. Took my car in to get a silver service ($179) Paid $500 as they claimed they couldn't find out what was wrong with it even though they were advised. Fair enough I took that on the chin, even though I was not made aware that extra charges would be laid until I arrived to pay. I went to pick my car up from the shop they drove it out for me and parked it while I paid my bill. I tried to start it to leave at the workshop and it wouldn't start. I asked for some assistance and they jumped my car with out double checking my battery, telling me my battery was fine and I was on my way. In a good mechanics head some alarm bells should have rung that it started 5mins ago then was flat 5mins later. I tried to start it the next day and it wouldn't start again. I called the mechanic and they said they would send out a mobile technician to take a look. The mobile technician jumped my car then left. The mobile technician then left my car unlocked and didn't put the streering lock back on after removing it also allday into the night. Since it was left unlocked and on the road in front of my house in the city. My car was opened and a skateboard was stolen. They never advised me they still had the car keys until I rung them asking where they were? Thinking they were stolen as the technician advised me he would leave them where he picked them up. Then said they would charge me $80 for the call out fee even though the battery was obviously not fine while it was at the shop and said I was a liar claiming that I said my car was left unlocked by the technician. This shop took zero responsibility for their poor performance misdiagnosing my battery and leaving my car unlocked and were only worried about the money not the customer. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER. BEWARE OF THIS MECHANICS BUSINESS.

These guys went above and beyond for me with installing some tricky anchor points for car seats. Very reasonable price for a job well done. Bonus points for being walking distance to the mall! Don't judge them based on previous management's reviews!

They kept me waiting for 4 hours for a service that they had initiatially said would take 1.5 hours. They then told me I needed a full new set of brakes and rotors and quoted me $1300. I then took it to another dealer for convenience who informed me that my brakes were practically new. I gave these guys a chance to explain themselves and received no reply. I can only deduce that I was blatantly lied to for profit. Avoid this place at all costs!

My partner has an Hyundai I45 it has been making a strange noise from the engine for a little while, I have taken it to Hyundai for diagnosis twice and both times they have told me that it is normal. When an engine makes a grinding noise it is not normal. Anthony had a look at the car and as soon as I turned the key he knew what the problem was. As I thought the timing chain and tensioner. We booked it in and the job was completed in one day I picked the car up and it runs real good. He also checked the fault codes and reset the computer for us and refreshed the oil. Great service. I would not expect quality workmanship for cheap. I also let a professional make suggestions on what is best for the reliability of my car.

The only redeeming quality of this company is the receptionist who has a fantastic and welcoming personality. However, all the one star reviews are justified because you CANNOT get a reliable service from this company. Wanted a simple service and repair performed, I told them what was wrong and wanted replaced. I came back after it was done and they hadn't checked the machine completely yet the report they gave me said they had. Mechanics report said that one of the cables was broken and needed replacing and that would cost some money. I had a friend who is a mechanic check to see if the report was accurate and it was VERY obvious that the cable reported had not been checked at all, and another cable they reported to be fine was snapped instead. They performed an oil change I had told them not to do as I did not need it and afterwards the sub was leaking oil. It turns out they had over-tightened the bolt and threaded it. Got berated from the mechanic who told me he was competent before I gave my vehicle to him after I came back asking questions about the untrue report he gave me and charged me for. Would not offer any recompense other than replacing the bolt which is still leaking as it is threaded, however I did receive insults even though I was being level-headed with the gentleman.
