Tucked away on the main highway between Blenheim and Picton it's a great stop before all the hills and corners as you travel towards Nelson. There are cabins for accommodation and everything is neat, tidy, modern and well presented. They also cater for conferences here too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been driving to the Marlborough Sounds several times a year consistently since 2007. Each and every time I will have driven past this fine establishment and neglected the opportunity to stop for a moment and take in the serenity that this space occupies. Today was different, due to a few lifestyle changes I am now relaxed than ever and lept at the opportunity to stop and sit down for 5 minutes. I was blown away by the hospitality offered here. First of all the setting is fantastic, it appears to be surrounded by a diverse range of New Zealands native trees, the internal setting appears to be well thought out. A fire occupies the centre providing a warm heart with a couch positioned in front I can imagine myself spending many hours here. The coffee made for us (I ordered a regular flatwhite) was extracted beautifully with the layer of milk not too thick and of an appropriate temperature. The furniture was very comfortable and along with the choice of music playing I felt as though time stood still. A very pleasant experience and I'll be sure to stop by again. Also the house dog was very friendly and quite adorable sitting on the porch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite the most appetizing and moreish scones I have ever come across. This place is a must for all who drive the upper South Island. If it were possible to award it a sixth star then I would certainly give it one. Would gladly consider another trip to the South just to enjoy a double helping of their deliciously fluffy scones with jam and cream

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Make this your regular stop when travelling between Nelson and Blenheim. Forrester's Cafe just perfect for breakfast, lunch or yummy Devonshire Tea. Beautiful peaceful grounds. Friendly staff and yummy food. This is a true hidden treasure. Watch out for the signs - Don't miss it! Well worth the stop.
