So much to do: Karikari peninsula, Mahinepua peninsula walk, Matauri Bay, St Pauls rock, Duke's Nose + Watertaxi, Taupo bay, Tauranga bay. Owners are fantastic. Super clean rooms. Kitchen has everything you need. Great view of the harbor and sunset. Outdoor cooking/BBQ area. Walking distance to the fishing club and restaurants.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had heard glorious reports of this harbour as the most beautiful in the far north and having spent many years in and around the far north and bays decided we really should visit. On checking the feedback on here and trip advisor this motel choice was a no brainer. Question is..was this the same place? Had we taken a wrong turn? We're we in a 70's time warp? Had we been given the wrong room? Had I smoked too much of the local herb? $180! I feel its a tad over rated. Yes clean yes big bed but I unable to find positives or reason to recommend unless you briefly stop off before fish trip as it's next to moorings.

Welcoming, friendly hosts and absolutely stunning views. Whangaroa Lodge Motel is the place to be!!
